A landmark iconic painting early on in the career of Joe Hendry. This painting attracted attention from all over the world including a USA art lecturer and was included in the 5th Anniversary Blondie Review.
Since then, I have created different versions but all in the same “ice cream” colours. If you have looked elsewhere on this website you will know that I am quite a Deborah Harry and Blondie fan. I have seen the band perform many times and Debbie Harry will always be a special iconic singer for me.
Whenever I paint a celebrity canvas, especially if it is in agraphic style such as this painting, I feel that i have to do some justice to the subject and not simply create another “also ran” artwork.

Joe did a commissioned one of the above for me, I gave it to my partner for a christmas present it’s now displayed pride of place in our living room.
