Leg paintings on canvas were created by me in various forms when I first started to paint again in the early 200′s. There was something about the simplicity and high impact of the completed artworkd on canvas which I really loved.
The source material for this leg painting was Monique, who also features in the famale paintings section where there isĀ a painting of her face.
Like many of my earlier artworks, this paintings reflects the fact that, at this point, I was not far removed from my previous career in Interior design. In design, I was very fond of white spaces, balance and symetry. As simple as this canvas may seem, it reflects some of these elements.
This painting varied from many of the other early leg paintings in that it was created in oils, rather than acrylic and was also a monochrome painting.
Painting Dimensions: 36 x 24 inches
