The Gyre Paintings – Abstract Art
Writing about abstract paintings is something I find much more difficult than when I am describing other original art which I have produced. There are obviously a myriad of reasons for this just because of the very nature of these canvases.
The Gyre series of paintings, two of which are shown here were influence by Yeats poem :The Second Coming”. They are very textural with an antire rough versus smooth and also conflicting geometry happening.

When producing these paintings I really immerse myself in them and I love the whole idea of other people taking their own meaning from them.
