This painting altough not strictly an abstract painting as there is really no other section that it belongs too.
Painted in 2002, this painting was initially going to be called “Me & My Shadow”. The background changed quite a bit during the painting process but the figures remained more or less the same.
I am sure a psychologist would have a field day analysing this painting. The figures are wrapped in bandages and in turn the bandages are wrapped in barbed wire. There is a main figure and a :lesser: figure. I think there is something supportive abou tthe way they are walking together but other than that, I will leave you to decide on any meaning in this painting for yourself.
I don’t paint much like this at all almost ten years on abut as I look back, if there was one painting which I wish I had held on to and never sold, then this would be it.

I really like the conceptual idea of the figures being wrapped in bandages. A new twist on the doppelganger idea!.
Thanks Shelley, it might make painting difficult though!
