In 2010 I painted a series of artworks with a real Klimt influence.
Klimts work is fascinating. There is so much going on and I love the seemingly random geometry and his haunting figurative drawing an painting.
I decided during my Klimt phase to paint this artwork for a very special lady who is aMarilyn Monroe fan. There is something a bit different abou tthis Marilyn canvas compared to the others I have painted and not just because of the use of inks and the geometric designs. I think that the smaller scale of the canvas added something to the intimacy of the painting.
