This painting, which forms part of an emerging series and based on Friedrich Nietzsche quotes sums up feelings to do with bouncing back after some of the tough things that life throws at us.
This could be a land of cliche-ridden claptrap to investigate but it’s something to be investigated in an honest manner.
I also have to say that the way in which I have constructed these paintings and this one in particular has been absolutely fascinating for me. Building up layer upon layer, it can be difficult to know where and when to end the process but it has certainly been interesting watching the artwork develop along the way.
Ultimately, this painting is all about our inner strength and how it comes to the fore just when we need it.
