When I first came to live in Glasgow in 2001, my flat was about 30 feet from the edge of the River Clyde. The paddle steamer Waverley used to go right passed my window, it was an amazing sight. Not only that, but I had a view of the Finnieston Crane and the Armadillo from my sofa.
This view came to mean a lot to me and I have painted it in different colours and sizes over the years. Never though, at this small scale. Painting at this scale brings it’s own challenges when you are more used to working larger scale and let’s just say I had to use smaller brushes!
Painting Dimensions: 8 x 8 inches ((20 x 20 cm)
Medium: Acrylic on deep edged cotton canvas.
