Another Curtain Call is a smaller version of a previous painting which was 3 feet tall.
This painting is all about Burlesque with the figure hidden in various stylised feathers, fur and veils before appearing again in front of the audience.
This painting was created in loose acrylic washes coming together in more detail for the tiny facial features. Being a diffferent way to paint, I really enjoyed thsi loosening up and although it can be quite “scary” I was pleased with the over all effect which I think retains some of the sponteneity of the painting process.
This original Joe Hendry canvas is the same in every way as my larger scale paintings with the exception of the size.
