Female Artwork – The Comforting II
The Comforting II is based on one of my favourite poses by my model “Jo” who I have painted and drawn many times over the past few years.
This pose jsut has so much in it for me and I wanted to draw it in a bit more detail than before and I have really worked the graphite and paper to achieve (hopefully ) the right tonal balance to create a certain emotion. Like many of my other female artworks this pieceis about femal vulnerability vs strength.
The drawing is in graphite of various grades on heavy duty A3 size cartridge paper.
