Earlier this year I was travelling over the back hills near Helensburgh and Loch Lomond. The sunlight was magnificently strange and dramatic. It was one of those "have to stop the car" moments.

This painting has been really exciting for me to work on from a technical point of view and yet also relaxing from a whole landscape and "being there" perspective.
