This painting is another in a new series of Scottish Landscape and Cityscape paintings.

I have painted these with a renewed enthusiasm and have been working with palette knives as well as brushes to create textured effects wether painting sky, water or earth.

This particular artwork is a view from Helensburgh looking towards the river Clyde.

I tackled this subject as I wanted to see how what can be a "corny' subject of sunrise or sunset would translate  onto canvas for me.
